The course Fundamentals of Electrotechnics and Electronics has been created for engineering students of non-electrical specialisations. The programme provides the knowledge needed in many engineering fields and expands students’ general knowledge. While performing laboratory works, students are expected to get introduced to the fundamentals of DC and AC circuits, the operation of diodes and alternating voltage rectifiers, a single-phase transformer, a shunt-wound DC motor, an asynchronous motor, as well as to investigate theoretical characteristics based on measurements. This workbook is designed to help students not only to perform laboratory work, but also to study and prepare for the laboratory works at home.
